Example projects:
Led commercialization of a new SaaS platform supporting an AI-driven workflow tool for collaborative document authoring. Running on AWS, it extracts information from source documents and generates content for new documents. Besides supervising the research behind the tool, my work includes developing product requirements, working with UI/UX designers and coordinating the efforts of the outsourced software development team.
Led the development of a conversational agent to provide blind and visually impaired users a voice interface to multi-function printers. Besides developing the technology, we partnered with the Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Palo Alto, California to run focus groups and user studies.
Directed all aspects of a three-year project developing a conversational agent to support cellphones and mobile devices. The project involved teams across four countries. My responsibilities included aligning research with software commercialization efforts while coordinating with various business stakeholders.
